I liked this game at the start. It was playable, and not too difficult either. But as it gets more into the level, it gets kinda hard to actually play. I got bored of fighting those dang cactuses particularly, especially when that big one knocked me into a green spike-shooting thingy and I got stuck in a falling animation on the wall and I only got out of it when he hit me again.
I did enjoy all the jokes, and the randomness of it all reminded me of Adventure Time. I think this is EXACTLY what an Adventure Time RPG would look like and feel like. I beat it in one day, and honestly it wasn't that bad, because even though I did hate the desert area, I loved the cuteness of the final cutscene.
Another thing, the music. As I was typing this, the main theme kept repeating and repeating and repeating and repeating and it kinda got on my nerves a bit. Also, I kept singing "We'll go to very distant lands" throughout the first two stages when the music hits that xylophone melody for some reason. LOL, it's just like Adventure Time.
Heh, maybe I just needed to stop playing once in a while, so I wouldn't get all tired with it later on, but the problem (if that's the right word) is that I just couldn't stop playing. I was hooked and couldn't stop, even if I wanted to quit I just HAD to play ONE more level before I stopped... So naturally it went by pretty fast. I only got up to level 9 in the end.
This game has potential, but that doesn't mean it wasn't fun. I'll definitely keep this in mind for when I need a good way to waste time.
